Sometimes you’re scrolling on social media and you happen upon a post that halts your mindless scrolling. Something someone writes just tugs on your heartstrings and you can’t help but reach out. Sometimes that person is someone you haven’t seen or talked to in years but when they post about grief, loss, and the hardships of being a parentless parent, you reach out and ask them about their story - their strength. That is what happened to our host, Katia Lindor, as she spotted Allie’s post on Instagram on Mother’s Day. Please welcome our amazing guest, Allison White, as she shares part of her life story with us. At a young age, Allie has suffered through more losses than most experience in a lifetime, and as a new mom, she finds herself uncovering new facets of that grief. She uses her time with us on this episode to not only share her story but also to offer some sage advice to other parentless parents or motherless mothers out there. Because, as Allie says, sometimes all you need is to hear someone else’s story to know that you’re not alone, that your grief will ebb and flow, and that sometimes you can even see your mother in your daughter’s eyes. We hope you enjoy the show!
